When a design team this talented brings us onto a project, we know the finished home is going to be something special. That was the case with a peaceful new build in Trilith, just south of Atlanta, that now appears in the pages of Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles. We fabricated the stone surfaces throughout the home, and seeing our work in the July 2026 issue is a proud moment for our whole shop.
The feature tells the story of a true collaboration. Residential designer Rodolfo Castro, Anna Booth Interiors, builder David Lewis & Co., and landscape architect Lucinda Bray each shaped the 10,000-square-foot retreat. The magazine framed it around a simple idea: great design is a team effort. We were honored to be one of the trades trusted to bring the stone to life.
A Custom Vanity We Helped Design
The powder room is our favorite part of the whole home. Anna Booth Interiors designed the custom vanity in collaboration with our team, and the result stops people in their tracks. The stone, sourced from Marmi, carries dramatic gold and amethyst veining across a soft white background, with the marble wrapping down the sides in a clean waterfall.
This is the kind of work we love most. We were not simply handed a drawing and asked to cut to spec. We were at the table early, thinking through slab layout, vein placement, and how the piece would read in the room. When a fabricator and a designer solve those details together, the finished vanity feels intentional from every angle.
What makes the vanity work is the restraint around it. The design team kept the architecture clean and quiet so natural materials and antiques could carry the character of the home. That approach puts real pressure on the stone to perform, since there is nowhere for a rushed seam or a mismatched vein to hide. We welcome that kind of challenge, because it is where careful fabrication earns its keep.
Pro tip: A powder room is the perfect place to be bold. Because the space is small, a single slab of dramatic marble makes a huge statement without stretching a whole-home budget.
The Kitchen: Movement, Precision, and Book-Matched Marble
In the kitchen, we fabricated the marble countertops and backsplash, also sourced from Marmi. The island features a waterfall edge with custom insets, and the backsplash was book-matched to the counters so the veining flows across the surfaces like a single piece of art.
Book-matching takes planning. We study the slabs, map the veins, and template carefully so the mirrored pattern lines up once everything is installed. The payoff is a kitchen where the marble feels continuous and calm, exactly the mood the design team wanted. Steel windows tilt open over the garden, and the stone ties the whole space to the greenery outside.
Beyond the kitchen and powder room, we fabricated stone throughout the home, including the primary bath and a pair of guest bath washstands, each selected to suit its own room. You can see more of this kind of work in our project gallery.
Pro tip: If you love the look of flowing veins, ask your fabricator about book-matching before you buy your slabs. It only works when the material is chosen and sequenced with that goal in mind.
Why Early Collaboration Matters
Projects like this one come together because everyone trusts one another. The design team had worked together many times before, and that rapport shows in the finished home. We were glad to earn a place in that circle.
For homeowners and designers, the takeaway is simple. Bring your stone fabricator into the conversation while the design is still taking shape. Early input on layout, edges, and slab selection prevents surprises and opens the door to custom details like the vanity and island in this home. Our team walks clients through this step-by-step process on every project, from the first slab viewing to final installation.
We are proud to serve the builders, interior designers, and homeowners who make South Atlanta such a wonderful place to build. From our shop in Tyrone, we work across Fayette County and the surrounding communities, and projects like this Trilith home remind us why we love what we do.
